On the first day of the IAEA discussion (Table 12),the committee focused on highlighting the importance of nuclear power in addressing energy and environmental challenges. It presented data supporting the key role of nuclear power in reducing carbon emissions and providing reliable and sustainable energy supply.

In addition, the need to strengthen international cooperation on nuclear safety and non-proliferation was highlighted. Emphasis was placed on the importance of ensuring transparency and the exchange of information among member states to guarantee the safety and reliability of nuclear programs.

It also called for greater investment in research and development of advanced nuclear technologies, in order to improve the efficiency and safety of existing nuclear power plants, as well as to promote the development of next generation reactors.
