INTRODUCTION

An investigation was carried out within the education system (school) to find out what are the records and documents used by this institution. This assessment is based on the records and documents used in various schools across Guyana whether its Nursery, Primary or Secondary. This e-portfolio includes all of the following:

• The two categories of records and documents are classified under, twelve (12) examples of the whole-school and eight (8) examples of the classroom records/document.

• The purpose for each record/document listed under the two categories.

• Regulations governing the use and maintenance of these records/documents

• Sample of each record/document listed, and

• feedback from each of the following persons ( headteacher and classroom teacher) who were interview on their perspective and experience of using these records.

The conclusion of this assessment and references of each source used, are cited.
