All authors must submit their abstract electronically to biomaterials@coyotes.usd.edu.
The abstract template with Content Guidelines can be downloaded at the bottom of this page. Abstracts are being solicited for presentation during poster session where the format will be 5-minute rapid fire presentations.
Abstract Format
Each abstract will be required to fit on one 8.5" x 11" page in font Times New Roman size 12. The abstract can be up to 200 words limit with tables, graphs, or pictures following the text.
The specifications are pre-formatted in the abstract template below (*To download form, click the red downward arrow on the bottom right side of this page).
You will be required to email your original Word or .PDF document to biomaterials@coyotes.usd.edu.
Title
The title should be brief, clearly indicating the nature of the presentation.
Authors
Authors names will be below the title, with the presenting author's name first and underlined. Author information should also be included in the abstract as formatted in the template.
Content
Content should fit on one page and be organized as follows:
Statement of purpose
Materials and Methods
Summary of the results in sufficient detail to support conclusion
Conclusions reached (do not state "results will be discussed")
References to published literature
Tables and graphs after the text
Acknowledgment of Receipt of Abstracts
Abstracts will be submitted via emailing to biomaterials@coyotes.usd.edu, notification of receipt of abstracts will occur within one week of submission.
Abstract Withdrawals
If the abstract must be withdrawn, please email biomaterials@coyotes.usd.edu immediately.
Failure to Present
The presenting author is expected to present the paper. If emergencies at the time of the conference prohibit the participation of the designated author please inform
SFB student chapter at USD immediately via email biomaterials@coyotes.usd.edu.
