About Me

I’m a graduate student at CSUSB, where I also work as an Information Technology Consultant. My job is incredibly rewarding because it combines two things I’m passionate about: technology and helping others. I love diving into new tech, learning about the latest advancements, and figuring out how these tools can be used to make everyday tasks and workflows more efficient.

Lately, my biggest interest has been in Artificial Intelligence. It’s a rapidly advancing field that’s already making a huge impact, and I’m excited to see how it will continue to change our daily lives in the near future. Staying up to date with AI feels crucial, as it’s clear that this technology is here to stay and will shape the future in ways we’re just beginning to understand.

Educational Philosophy & Role of Technology

Summary:

In this paper, I discuss how learning about instructional design has reshaped my understanding of education and technology. I’ve come to appreciate the role of key learning theories, behaviorism, cognitivism, and constructivism in creating effective learning experiences. These theories influence everything from using positive reinforcement to organizing information for better understanding and encouraging learners to build knowledge through exploration.

In my job as an Information Technology Consultant, I now see how these theories show up in my daily tasks, like troubleshooting, creating user guides, and helping staff with new systems. Technology is an amazing tool, but I’ve learned that it needs to be guided by solid teaching principles to make an impact.

Moving forward, I’ll continue applying what I’ve learned about instructional design to create better, more engaging learning experiences both for my team and the learners.
