COURSE SYLLABUS
Work-Based Learning provides team members with opportunities for instruction in both academic and occupational skills, career exploration, and guidance identifying employment and educational goals. Team members have the opportunity to connect what they learn in school with work-site application to enable a smooth transition into the workforce and/or education beyond high school.

Attendance and on-time performance is vital.
Every team member begins the nine-week grading period with a grade of 100.
A sample list of infractions and point deductions is listed below.
This list does not include every possible reason for point deductions. Up to:
Working without permission when absent from school or class.* (-5)
Working during school hours when suspended from school.* (-5)
Failure to turn in weekly reports (journals, weekly assignments, timesheets, etc.)* (-5)
Failure to give appropriate notice when you leave a job.* (-10)
Getting fired.* (-30)
Quitting job without notice or approval of director.* (-30)

The following infractions will result in a failing grade for WBL for the nine week grading period in which they occur and may result in an office referral. Up to:
Job abandonment (-100)
Falsifying any employment record or document (timesheet, pay stub, etc.) (-100)
Stealing from employer (-100)
