Dr. Rosalita Troutt ~ Director of Business Information & Technology
Just a bit about me ~ I hold undergraduate degrees in Science and Business, an MS degree and Ph.D. from Capella University in Education, and an MSIT from Middle Georgia State University. My academic interests revolve around my core teaching area at the Central Educational Center of business, computers, and digital media. I maintain an interest in assessment, academic advising, and how all things in the universe are connected. I believe in giving back to the community where I live. I have such a strong belief in this area that I spend a great deal of time serving my community as a Volunteer Income Tax Advocate (VITA) Site Coordinator. Yes, I prepare taxes during the tax season for free. I participate in community events with my sorority, Alpha Pi Chi, Alpha Zeta Chapter. Alpha Pi Chi is a service organization providing scholarships to area high school students furthering the students’ opportunity to attend college.
As a product of online learning, I believe the wave of the future in global learning and education lives in technology. With this in mind, the students in the business and digital media courses at the Central Educational Center will be exposed to traditional learning activities with quite a few online learning features blended into the mix. Students will complete and submit work using Google Workspace and will also be introduced to industry-standard learning management systems (LMS).
