Meet the Coaches
My coaching philosophy:
First and foremost - I am a TEACHER. My desire for coaching at the core is to teach. To TEACH teamwork. To TEACH caring and compassion for others, and for ourselves. To TEACH work-ethic. To TEACH life-lessons and skills that can be utilized throughout my swimmer's lives. To TEACH stroke techniques and to help swimmers become the fastest and strongest versions of themselves.
Head Coach: Mrs. Tobi Harris
I am excited to be working with Northgate Swimming as the head coach again this year. I have an extensive background in aquatics, and I have been a certified YMCA stroke and turn judge for the past 9 years. I am a certified USA Swimming Coach.
Community Coach: Mr. Robert Statham
My name is Bobby Statham. I have been a part of the swimming world for more than 18 years now. We moved to Newnan from California. In California, I ran a year round team and a rec team of about 200 swimmers. I am a USA certified coach and a certified lifeguard. I have started meets and officiated High school and Junior High swim meets. I look forward to working with Northgate High School swim team.
