I am a 2010 graduate of the University of West Georgia with a Bachelors in Science in Middle Grades Education. After graduation, I began my teaching career at Madras Middle School where I spent 11 years teaching both 6th and 7th grade science. In the summer of 2014 I earned my Masters of Education in Educational Technology from Lesley University.
Outside of school I stay busy with my family while also taking part in different activities that I find interesting. I am married to Leah Dispain Reed, who is also a teacher in Coweta County. We have one daughter, Callie, who will be a 7th grader at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. When I am not cheering on our daughter at soccer games I can be found enjoying one of my favorite hobbies. It is not uncommon to catch me around downtown Newnan on Saturday mornings enjoying (or maybe not really enjoying) a nice long run. I can also be found at Brown's Mill Battleground on the weekend with my daughter riding the numerous mountain bike trails there. When I am at home I spend some of my time smoking a variety of meats on my smokers out back. In the summertime I run a successful swim lesson business and in the fall I enjoy cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday and the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
