Meet Mr. Owens - Director of Bands

Mr. Owens is in his 25th year of teaching and his 20th at East Coweta HIgh School. He grew up in Calhoun, Georgia, graduated from Jacksonville State University and was a member of the Sprit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps. His love of music began with his mother, who played piano and his father who had several southern gospel quartet songs published. He loves seeing young people find and develop their own love and appreciation for all music. Mr. Owens enjoys spending time with family, his dog and traveling, especially the beach.

Meet Mr. Neidhardt - Assistant Director of Bands

Mr. Neidhardt is in his 15th year teaching band at East Coweta High School. He graduated from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2006. Mr. Neidhardt plays the saxophone and credits his high school band experience with cultivating his love of music and teaching. He is an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta United, and anything Tennessee. He also loves spending time with his wife, Kathryn, and their two boys, Matthew and William.
