“Greetings, I’m Owen Johnson, a 9th grade student at Northgate High in Sharpsburg, telling you about the great opportunities at CEC. For example, the film class, a elective at CEC, directed by Michael Britt, a teacher here at the school who has motivational experience in broadcasting himself. As he makes his mark teaching new students every year to push them forward into film as he once was. The reason that I decided to choose the CEC Film and production broadcasting class mainly because I was hoping that I would have been a great start to open me into the world of film, and it didn’t disappoint. What I got from this class was a hard working group, that strives to succeed in their showmanship. From it being their live broadcasting show partnered with NuLink, or just the assignments assigned to them during the school year which I enjoy dearly. With excellent teaching from the director, Mr. Britt we learn hands on how to use multiple tools in the studios, that are actually used for and in real, broadcasting sets/ movies. I feel like I've really learned a lot throughout the course of my time spent well in this class. So if you’re looking for something that's different and interesting, this is the place for you. So don’t hesitate…

My name is Brianna Huston and I am a sophomore at Newnan High School. I took the Broadcasting class in the 8th grade because I wanted to try something new and different. I instantly fell in love with the class so I came back and took Video 1. As I started looking into different careers and trying new things, nothing made me feel the joy that I felt as I was editing or filming. This class really challenges me to do my best and i treat it as if it were my job.
My name's Katie Nolan and I'm a freshman from East Coweta High School. I'm the youngest student in Broadcasting 2 and the first freshman because I took Video 1 in 8th grade and was invited to take AVTF-1 while still an 8th grader. It's a lot of fun in this class, I really enjoy directing The Link, our local community TV talk show, and shooting our class projects. I can't wait to go into this field when I'm older!
