Hi! I’m Ms. Putnam, and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade this year! I am passionate about helping students grow into confident readers, writers, and thinkers. I hold a Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and I enjoy using what I have learned to make lessons engaging and meaningful.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and our two doodles. I also enjoy reading, decorating, gardening, and finding new ideas to make learning fun. I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with great books, lots of growth, and plenty of special memories!

Hello! My name is Lorrie Sheffer and this is my 29th year teaching here at TCE.  I’ve previously taught 1st and 2nd grade, all subject areas in 5th grade and 5th grade math.  This is my 1st year teaching 4th grade science & social studies.  I have two children, ages 17 and 14. In addition to our children, my husband and I have several fur babies including three dogs and two cats.  I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, watching football, playing with our dogs, cheering my kids on in their extra curricular activities, and spending time with family and friends.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year and making 4th grade their best year yet!

Welcome, fourth-grade families! I am delighted to introduce myself as the fourth-grade math teacher at Thomas Crossroads Elementary School. With 22 years of experience in education, a master’s degree in mathematics, and a doctorate in educational leadership, I am passionate about creating a student-centered classroom where every child feels supported and valued. I strive to meet the individual needs of all students by providing engaging math lessons that promote deep learning and connect mathematical concepts to meaningful experiences. I cannot wait to get to know each of my students and partner with you throughout the school year!
