After opening Google Classroom, choose the classroom you want to enter.
At the homepage of the classroom, click 'Classwork' at the bottom of the screen.
Any assignment assigned to you will be listed here.
Where it says 'Your work' at the bottom, click the arrow.
You will now see the attached assignment(s). The 'Turn In' button is also here along with where you can add a private comment to your teacher.
For this guide, I clicked on the Google Doc.
The assignment will open in what I'd call a 'Preview' window. You can view it, but not edit it.
To open the assignment in Docs/Slides/Sheets, click the square that has an arrow in it. It will automatically open in Docs/Slides/Sheets.
Click 'Sign In' that is in the bottom left corner of the screen.
*Note: This will only happen the first time you open a Doc/Slides/Sheets assignment. After Step 8 is complete, a Google Doc/Slides/Sheets will automatically open each time.
As you are already signed into Google Classroom and Meet on the iPad, the following will pop up. Click 'Continue As _____'
Here, you can click on the Doc/Slides/Sheets that you want to work on.
To type on your Doc, click the pencil icon in the bottom right corner.
The editing toolbar will appear.
