Mrs. Campbell's Bio

Welcome to the Innovation Lab and a Little Bit

about Mrs. Campbell

It is my pleasure to welcome my students and their families to the Cove Innovation Lab website. This site is intended to be a resource for students and parents. You can look at our projects, locate educational resources, and find other helpful information. I will be adding and updating information throughout the year.

I am a career changer. I have worked at Motorola Cellular in Credit Analysis, at Centegra Health System in Quality Resources, and at Antioch Elementary School in the Computer Lab. While working in the elementary school computer lab, I found that many times students would be in the computer lab for a variety of reasons including emotional dysregulation, rewards for positive behavior in class, a quiet place to study, and learning about technology. I found myself trying to find ways for these students to do better in class by using technology as a learning tool and as a way to motivate them to learn. So I went back to school for my Master's degree in Special Education. I student taught at Cove many years ago and I loved it so much I stayed!

I believe technology is a great resource for our students at Cove, and it will help them experience education in ways that are innovative, creative, and engaging. Although I love technology and what it can do for our students, I believe in balance. Students need to use a variety of tools to learn and show what they have learned. You will see your students using technology as well as creating models, writing, drawing, coding, and more.

I am fortunate to be a part of the Cove Community. I look forward to being a resource for you as we work together this year.
