In Discovery Science students will make connections between food and science.  Student will work collaboratively in small groups to cook designated recipes and then enjoy their efforts.  We have three kitchens in the classroom with brand new stoves, microwaves and refrigerator. We will investigate the science involved in the cooking.  What do the eggs do in a recipe?  What kind of energy transformations are taking place in the  kitchens?  What does yeast really do for bread?  Students will be involved in a baking fund raiser at the end of the semester and the proceeds will go back into our local community.
