6th Grade - Introduction to Italian Language & Culture (semester class)

In this class, students are introduced to simple Italian phrases and pronunciation as well as various aspects of the Italian culture. Cultural topics include geography, food, music, art, traditions and holidays.

7th Grade - Italian 1 Part 1 (full year)

This class is part 1 of a two part sequence over grades 7 & 8 which will give the students the opportunity to complete the first level of Italian. Upon completion of part 2 in grade 8, students will be prepared to enroll in Italian level 2 as a 9th grader in high school. During their first year of instruction in grade 7 students will be introduced to vocabulary, grammar and culture as well as focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the language.

8th Grade - Italian 1 Part 2 (full year)

This class is part 2 of a two part sequence over grades 7 & 8 which will give the students the opportunity to complete the first level of Italian. Upon completion of part 2 in grade 8, students will be prepared to enroll in Italian level 2 as a 9th grader in high school. During their second year of instruction in grade 8, students will continue to study vocabulary, grammar and culture as well as focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the language.

6th Grade - Introduction to Spanish Language & Culture (semester class)

In this class, students are introduced to simple Spanish phrases and pronunciation as well as various aspects of Spanish culture. Cultural topics include geography, foods, music, art, traditions and holidays.

7th Grade - Spanish 1 Part 1 (full year)

This class is part 1 of a 2 part sequence over grades 7 and 8 which will give students the opportunity to complete the first level of Spanish. Upon completion of part 2 in grade 8 students will be prepared to take Spanish 2 in high school. During the first year of instruction in grade 7 students will be introduced to vocabulary, grammar and culture as well as focusing on speaking,listening, reading and writing in the language.
