Tryouts

Thank you for inquiring about trying out for the ASFMS Boys Basketball team. Any boy that is a registered student at ASFMS is eligible to tryout. Tryouts are needed because there are usually more students who want to play than what is actually needed to roster a competitive team to represent ASFMS.  Good luck and I look forward to seeing you out on the court! Be sure to fulfill all the requirements below in order to participate in tryouts.

Schedule and requirements in order to participate in tryouts!

• Sign up using this basketball sign-up form. Sign up form  

• THE ONLY FORM NEEDED TO TRY OUT IS A VALID PHYSICAL. THE PHYSICAL NEEDS TO BE ON FILE IN THE NURSE'S OFFICE OR PRESENTED TO THE COACH BEFORE TRYOUTS.

• Attend all scheduled tryout sessions.

1. Monday, November 18th, 2:45-4:15  6th grade only

2. Tuesday, November 19th , 2:45-4:15   7th grade only

3. Wednesday, November 20th, and Thursday, November, 21st  2:45-4:15  8th grade only

4. Friday, November 22nd, 2:45-4:15   Final call back..." LAST LOOK " for players selected. 

• Have a ride home at the conclusion of tryouts.

• Have your own water bottle.

•  ALL completed forms listed below will need to be handed in IF you make the team.

  1.  Signed and NOTARIZED Assumption of Risk Form  

  2. Athletes pledge 

  3. Permission to participate  Physicals must be dated within the 2024 calendar year and must carry them through the basketball season which ends 2/15/2025.  

  4. Concussion form 

  5. Student Accident Medical Insurance Protection  

     6 . Athletic Handbook   ( Sign the last page and submit to the coach)
