Tryouts

Thank you for inquiring about trying out for the ASFMS Boys Basketball team. Any boy that is a registered student at ASFMS is eligible to tryout. Tryouts are needed because there are usually more students who want to play than what is actually needed to roster a competitive team to represent ASFMS.  Good luck and I look forward to seeing you on the court. 

Schedule and requirements in order to participate in tryouts!

Attend all scheduled tryout sessions.

1. Monday, November 17th, 2:45-4:15  6th grade only

2. Tuesday, November 18th , 2:45-4:15   7th grade only

3. Wednesday, November 19th, and Thursday, November, 20th  2:45-4:15  8th grade only

4. Friday, November 21st FIRST PRACTICE

• Have a ride home at the conclusion of tryouts.

• Have your own water bottle.

Hello ASFMS Parents and Students,

ASFMS Athletics will begin online registration for all athletes this school year. We are now using FusionPoint Sports, in partnership with the RIIL for all athletic registrations.

Any student planning to play a winter sport, (girls and boys basketball and wrestling) who has not already registered and cleared,  must be registered and cleared by November 14, 2025 in order to participate in tryouts on November 17th.

Registration Instructions:

If you have not already done so, all athletes must register online using the following link:

To Register:

1. Create a parent account and verify your email.

2. Click the three black lines next to “RIIL” → Select “School Registration.”

3. Follow prompts and select all sports your child will participate in.

4. Upload the required documents:

   • NOTARIZED Assumption of Risk Form (ALL Athletes must upload a notarized AOR form  as we do not have copies of last year's forms)

   • Sign the Concussion Information acknowledgment (digital online)

   • Sign the CHS Athletics Handbook acknowledgment (digital online)

   • Upload a copy of your child's medical insurance card (all athletes must have medical insurance)

   • Current Physical Form (A school physical form MUST be uploaded and  dated within 13 months and must show the student is cleared to participate)

   • The athletic department does not get copies of physicals from the nurses' office or your child's records. Parents MUST upload a valid physical form from your child's pediatrician and upload to the registration portal.

   •  Athletes cannot begin tryouts unless fully registered and cleared by the athletic department. 

   • All other athletes must be registered and cleared by November 14, 2025
