Coventry High School Esports and Game Club

Game Club


All students at Coventry High School are able to participate in the Game Club.  In the Game Club, students play video games, board games and card games.  Game Club is held in the CHS Esports Room. We have a Esports Gaming Computers, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU and Nintendo Wii. Students may also bring in their game systems or game cards every week for Game Club members to play. The Game Club meets once a week for one (1) hour after school.  The Game Club also holds video game and card game tournaments throughout the year. All money is donated to a local charity or used to improve the club.  




Esports Team


The Coventry High School Esports Team competes in the Esports Ohio League. Coventry High School competes on the Varsity and Junior Varsity level. There are currently over 300 Ohio schools that compete in the Esports Ohio League. There are 2 seasons for the Esports League- Fall and Spring. Tryouts are one (1) month prior to start of each season. The Esports team practices each week for one (1) hour after school. Players must remain in good academic standing (2.0 or above) to participate on Varsity or JV teams. During all matches, all teammates are required to stay for the duration of the match.  All matches are held at Coventry High School or remotely at student's home.
