Step One: GO TO https://classroom.google.com
Step 2: CLICK SIGN IN
Click the blue SIGN IN button.
In the Sign in Window:
Type firstname.lastname@cov.k12.al.us (student's issued email address)
Click Next
Enter student password (usually student's lunch code)
Click Next
After signing into Google from the previous page, you may have an additional sign in page to complete. This is the school district's login feature. It helps ensure that only students and teachers are able to access the page.
The User Name will be: firstname.lastname
The Password will be: the student's same password (usually student's lunch code)
Step 3: OPEN GOOGLE CLASSROOM
1.Click on the "waffle" icon in the top right corner of your screen
2. Scroll down until you see the Classroom Icon and click it
NOTE: if you do not see the Classroom Icon, you can visit Google Classroom directly: https://classroom.google.com
Step 4: PICK YOUR ROLE (This step will only appear if this is the first time you have ever accessed Google Classroom.)
Click on "I'M A STUDENT"
Step 5: JOIN YOUR FIRST CLASS
You are now ready to join the Google Classroom
Click the "+" sign in the top right corner of the page
Step 6: ENTER THE CLASS CODE
Enter the class code provided by your child's teacher.
Note: Class codes are case sensitive.
Click JOIN
