Royal Oak Middle School MTSS Tier 1, 2, and 3
MTSS is a model that is followed by ROMS Staff that ensures every student receives academic, behavioral, and emotional support. This is accomplished through a tier system (Tier 1, 2, and 3). Tier 1 is a universal support, which means every student receives this instruction. Tier 2 is more intensive, and received by a more narrow margin percentage of tier 1. Tier 3 is even more intensive and about 5% of students receive tier 3 support. It's important to note that even if a student is receiving tier 2 or tier 3 supports, they would still receive tier 1 support.
ROMS Counselors follow the ASCA National Model Framework for School Counselors. ROMS counselors are data driven, ethically informed, and support ALL students.
