INDUCTION PROGRAM

Foothill Consortium, as sponsored by West Covina Unified LEA, is accredited by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing to provide Teacher Induction for new teachers holding a preliminary multiple subject, single subject, or education specialist teaching credential, and CASC Induction for new administrators holding a preliminary administrative services credential.

Admittance to Foothill Consortium:

All candidates holding a Preliminary Credential are eligible to participate in the Foothill Consortium California Teacher Induction Program regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, pregnancy, mental disability, physical disability, medical condition, genetic information, veteran status, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sex, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by state or federal law.

Teacher Induction: To be admitted into the Foothill Consortium Teacher Induction Program, teachers must hold a valid preliminary multiple subject, single subject or Education Specialist credential and admin. Although prospective Candidates do not need to be employed full time, they must be a contracted teacher of record. Verification of these admittance requirements is done in collaboration with the Candidate’s Human Resources Department.

CASC Induction:  To be admitted into the Foothill Consortium CASC program, administrators must hold an administrative position and a valid preliminary administrative services credential.  Verification of these admittance requirements is done in collaboration with the Candidate's Human Resources Department.
