What an exciting fun-filled last week of school for our third graders! We wrapped up the year with lots of memorable activities and special celebrations. Our students spent time with the fourth and fifth graders playing games that focused on teamwork, cooperation, and building a strong sense of community.
We also celebrated our summer birthdays and enjoyed recognizing students who will be celebrating during the break.
One of the highlights of the week was the Great Third Grade Airplane Challenge! Three teams competed to design and fly the best paper airplanes in four different events. After an exciting competition, the Flying Phoenixes soared to victory by winning two of the four challenges.
As we head into summer, I hope everyone has a wonderful, restful, and adventure-filled break. Remember to read every day and write about your experiences in a journal. Whether you’re traveling, spending time with family, or exploring new hobbies, your summer adventures make great stories!
Don’t forget to practice your math facts as well—after all, if you don’t use it, you lose it! A little practice throughout the summer will help keep those skills sharp and prepare you for a successful start to the next school year.
Have a fantastic summer!
Best,
Kristen
