ELA:
In ELA, we continued reading Ways to Make Sunshine and had some fun with figurative language by creating our own alliteration tongue twisters! Students brainstormed creative phrases filled with repeating beginning sounds and attached their tongue twisters to their craft faces for a fun and colorful display.
Math:
In Math, we focused on strengthening our division strategies. Students practiced solving problems using repeated subtraction, equal grouping, and related multiplication facts. We worked through task card centers to apply these strategies in different ways and continued building our division fluency with daily practice.
Social Studies:
In Social Studies, students continued working on their Black History Month 5W Poems. They are doing a wonderful job researching and organizing their thinking around who, what, where, when, and why to honor influential historical figures. We are excited to see their final pieces come together!
WEEKLY LEARNING SNAPSHOT
While TCS doesn't assign homework, many parents have requested at-home resources to support skill-building. We're happy to provide materials to help your child practice!
