We loved seeing everyone for community reading this week. Have a great weekend!
This week in centers we worked on creating number lines and practicing our number sense! We completed a walk the room, practiced number writing, and worked in our math thinkpads. We also started our letters of the week, sight words, and word families.
This week we learned about Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. To celebrate we shared how we will be our best selves in the new year and ate apples and honey to usher in a sweet new year. Shanah Tova!
This week in science, we learned about basic needs of plants. Students learned how plants need water, sunlight, air, and soil in order to survive. To demonstrate understanding, they completed an activity sheet where they cut and glued the items that plants needs.
For those who have not yet done so, please bring in your child’s supplies, emergency kit, and extra clothes.
Our first field trip is coming up! The Field trip is on Sept 26th.
