What an exciting and busy week it's been in 1st grade! This week, we learned about verbs and we reviewed what we've learned throughout the year in ELA & math centers. We went to PE, Spanish, art, and we had incredible Winter Sing practices in music! We are so proud of 1st grade!
This week in ELA we learned about verbs also known as action words. To practice, students recorded each other on the iPads saying sentences with verbs in the past, present, and future tense. During ELA centers, students participated in small group time with Ms. A, cut & glue sequencing, matching sentences to pictures, and categorizing words. Way to go 1st grade!
This week in math we reviewed number sequencing from least to greatest and greatest to least. We had centers where students participated in small group time with Ms. A, checkers, working in their math notebooks, fact fluency, and number bonds cut & glue. Students also did a Think It Out Wednesday where students walked the room and put numbers in order from least to greatest and greatest to least. Amazing work, mathematicians!
Students went to Spanish, art, and PE this week. In music this week, students worked hard to prepare for Winter Sing. We are so incredibly proud of 1st grade!
