This week during ELA, we practiced our letters of the week H and L, played Feed The Doggie to practice sight words, and wrote in our journals. In Math, we practiced counting to 20. We did this by doing a walk the room, count and cover games, and feed the monster.Â

This week in science, our students learned about the different parts of a pumpkin, including the stem, shell, pulp, seeds, and fibrous strands. As part of our activity, students helped dissect a pumpkin by removing the seeds and fibrous strands. We also carved a pumpkin together! Students shared their ideas for the design, and the teachers carved the pumpkin based on their suggestion.
For a special Halloween treat, the teachers gifted the class with an assortment of fun party favors. The challenge was how to get them out of a frozen hand! We had so much fun putting our minds together to come up with different strategies.
Thank you so much for celebrating Halloween with us!
We hope you enjoy trick or treating and whatever fun activities you may participate in this weekend.
