Dear Red Room Families,
The Red Room Teachers would like to say Thank you so much for all the love, generosity, and thoughtful gifts during Teacher Appreciation Week! Your kindness and support mean so much to us, and we truly feel appreciated by such an amazing community. We are incredibly grateful for your thoughtfulness and for the continued encouragement you show throughout the year.
Hello Red Room Families,
This week, the children countinued creating their final pieces of artwork for Open House. Inspired by the colorful stories and illustrations of Eric Carle, they used their creativity and imagination to bring each project to life. Over the past few weeks, the children have worked incredibly hard on every detail, and they are very proud of all they have accomplished. We are so excited for you to see their wonderful artwork and celebrate all of their hard work and creativity at Open House! House!
For art this week, the children painted colorful animals inspired by the story Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Eric Carle. They used paint and cardstock paper that had been cut into the shapes of different animals from the story.
The children created their very own clouds inspired by Little Cloud by Eric Carle. The children used construction paper, glue and cotton balls. Each child chose something they liked-such as a fruit, animal, or other favorite object-and used cotton to bring their artwork to life. This fun and creative activity encouraged imagination, self-expression, and fine motor skills while allowing each child to make a unique piece of art.
During centers this week, the children enjoyed playing, exploring, and laughing together with their friends. One of their favorite activities continues to be the magnetic cubes, where they used creativity and teamwork to build different stuctures.
The children also had fun exploring our sensory bin, which included a variety of insects and animals that we have been learning about over the past few weeks. In addition, they practiced important problem-solving and fine motor skills by completing shape puzzles, playing with the ball maze, and creating designs on the mushroom peg board. These hands-on activities encouraged creativity, cooperation, and learning through play.
During outdoor play this week, the children had an absolute blast running, jumping, laying in the sand, building together, and holding hands with their friends. It was such a sweet sight to see their laughter, kindness, and friendships shining through each moment.
During music this week, the children continued practicing for the spring show.
We would like to send a very special thank you to Tevva's mom Einat, for coming in and reading to the Red Roomers! She shared two wonderful books with us. One was And Eddie Had an Egg by Diana Leifer and Hanukkah in Little Havana by Julie Anna Blank.
