This week during ELA, we practiced writing CVC words by saying them in slow motion to isolate all the sounds. We also practiced our sight words by playing BINGO! This week in Math, we practiced identifying and naming 2D shapes! We did this by making a 2D shape book, color by shape sheet, completing a shape sort, and practiced counting the sides of a shape!
NEW SIGHT WORDS ALERT! Please practice the following sight words at home:

For science this week, we started Women’s History Month by learning about Jane Goodall. Our students learned that Jane Goodall is a scientist who studied chimpanzees for over 60 years and helped the world understand them better.
For our activity, we began creating a monkey craft. The students started by painting their crafts, and next week we will finish them by putting all the pieces together!
This week in social studies, we learned about the Hindu festival of colors, Holi! We read the book Let's Celebrate Holi by Ajenta Chakraborty and Vivek Kumar before getting on the action. It was so much fun getting messy out on the meadow.
Our students participated in our third and final round of TCS University for the school year. They were divided into groups. Some of our students baked, while others did Watercolor and Number Theory, and some did Intro to Hip Hop Dance.
It is safe to say they all had fun!
