This week during ELA, we continued working on projects for Open House. We also reviewed our sight words and had reading groups. This week in math students continued to practice their addition skills! We learned about number bonds, a graphic organizer, that can help us add and subtract. We worked together as a group and used number bonds to identify multiple equation combinations that represent the same number. For example, we can add 2 and 4 to make 6 and also 3 and 3.

This week in science, we celebrated Earth Day! Students learned different ways we can take care of our Earth, such as not throwing trash in the ocean and always picking up after ourselves.
For our activity, we created the Earth! We used tissue paper along with green and blue markers. Then, we added water so the colors could blend together and create a watercolor effect.
A very special thank you to Einat, Toren's Mom, who led a yoga class for us. We had so much fun stretching our bodies and finding our zen.
