"Any beginning is also an ending, you know. You can't have just the one."

As the last week of school approached, we wanted to make sure our theme embraced the student's favorite things that we did this year. We made a list, which included:
Finger painting, secret shapes, dress up, sea animals, stomp rockets, shaving cream and lots of outdoor play. We managed to fit it all in and then some!
We hope you like photos because this last edition has a LOT! :) :)
One of the Blue Room favorites has been finger-painting and painting in general, so we did both!
There was this wonderful moment this last week when the room quietly hummed with the sound of blocks being stacked, paint brushes being dragged across paper and the soft chatter of children busy and purposeful. These are the milestones we work for. It was a reflection of a school year spent working on sharing, taking turns, using words to express wants and needs, being disappointed and trying again.
We're so proud of this class. They have learned from one another, how to get along, work together and be kind along the way.
We spent a lot of time outdoors, per the children's request. Just watching them create original games and assign roles, pretend house play and run for no reason at all, reminds us what childhood is really all about. Children have a way of making us smile simply by being themselves because they are drawn to the excitement and joy of everything around them.
A big thank you to our very special Blue Room, Room Moms, Cecelia and Hayley, for all their hard work organizing parties and events this year. We are so grateful to you both for your thoughtfulness and dedication to making this year fun and celebratory!
In addition, a very special thank you for the end of year gifts that Renée and I received. Your thoughtful cards truly warmed our hearts and your generosity, greatly appreciated. Big hugs from us both. We meant every word we said. It has been a pleasure to be your child's teacher this year. Xoxo
We wish all the June & July students a very happy birthday this summer!
First Day of School: Tuesday, September 1st
Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful summer!
