Happy Weekend, 2nd Grade Families! Here we are at the very end, having shared so many glittering moments together. It still doesn't quite feel real. This week in 2nd Grade, we took it very easy. There was a greater emphasis on lots of calmer moments for bonding as we closed out the year together; signing yearbooks was a LOT of fun and a big part of the shared moments. We attended the Yellow Room Pre K Step Up ceremony to support the little ones. We also attended the 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony for a large portion of it, to support them as well, and both ceremonies were beautiful. The 8th graders paid us a visit to give us some tips on Middle School life, and answer some our questions about what it's like up there. We also completed our Grassroots Campaign this week, which was really cool! They put in the real work of team work, and campaigned for signatures for each of their causes. They also took home a sample brochure, so you all could see!

Nexus Echo: Eye of Ruination also had a second screening, due to popular demand!! So many kids were asking to watch it, so we hosted a viewing of our movie for the entire K-5 block. Yet another cool moment for us, and an absolute blast!

Our final Hero of the Week (from last week) was Everly. He fought hard for it, and earned it completely. Way to achieve your goals, buddy!

Also, special shout out to Rich who is retiring this year after a lengthy and positive career at TCS. Even though he was in the bungalows working on finances and a number of technical things in conjunction with Holly, he was always very pleasant and open to conversation. We chatted often in the hallways, and sometimes shared stories in his office. He's a great guy, and TCS will not be the same without him. However... when it's your time, it's your time, and now is his time.
