This week during ELA, we practiced isolating the ending sounds of words. We do this by saying them in slowww motion! We also practiced clapping out syllables in words. This is especially fun with our names. In our journals, we wrote about what we would like to know more about. This week in math, we continued to practice building teen numbers with base ten blocks. We practiced this skill by playing board games, bingo, and cut and glue activity sheets.

In social studies, we got a head start on Black History Month. We kicked things off by learning about the child CEO, Mosiah Bridges, and his company, Mo's Bows. He created his company with the help of his family at the age of 9! Now in his mid-twenties, Mosiah Bridges has an NBA contract, creating officially licensed bow ties for all teams. We celebrated Mosiah by creating our own bow ties. Don't we look dapper?
