March has come on like a jump scare in a cartoon: surprising for its seeming suddenness, and silly for the same. Something like less than three months 'til school year's end? Time is a joke wherein I feel frequently like the punchline. C'est la vie, as they say.
Regardless! Please see below for some of the exciting things occurring at school in the lead-up to Spring Break, as well as all of the pictures of your wonderful students being their usual amazing selves.

This week ELA: Poetry
We started writing poetry! So far, the students have been introduced to seven different types of poetry and will be introduced to about as many more before the unit's completion. They're doing a fantastic job! We can't wait to see their poetry books at the end of the unit.
Next week ELA: Poetry; "The Crossover"
This week Math: Math board game project
The math board game project is one of my favorite projects of the year! Students create games, both the rules and the board itself, that involve solving math problems in some facet. Thank you to those parents who donated cardboard to the cause!
Next week Math: Math board game project
TCS University!
Thank you to Assaf and all of the other parents who volunteered to teach classes for the students!
Some fantastic performances to showcase:
Dynver read a poem for Friday 15 - "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou - and did an amazing job!
Rock band - Izzy, Dynver, Samira, Fox, with special appearance by Penelope - performed "Buddy Holly" by Weezer! What an excellent rendition!
Thank you to the wonderful parents who drove us to the event on Wednesday! Thank you also to all the parents who volunteered to drive!
We had a great time! For some of us, it was our first time witnessing modern dance and dance pieces longer than a TikTok. Be sure to ask your student which dance they enjoyed the most.
