August is Overdose Awareness Month! Several events are happening in our area. Check back all month as we add more to this site.
We are a regional collaborative working to keep our communities healthier and safer by reducing overdose deaths and supporting people who use substances. Our partners come together to share what’s working, coordinate services, and remove barriers to care.
We focus on practical, compassionate solutions — from expanding access to naloxone and test strips, to strengthening trust, reducing stigma, and improving connections to care.
By aligning efforts across the region, we help ensure that people, families, and communities receive consistent support when and where they need it. Our work is flexible, action‑oriented, and guided by shared goals: fewer preventable deaths, fewer barriers, and a more coordinated response for everyone.

IOAD 2026 theme: 25 years on. Still needed.
“Still needed” reflects a shared global truth: overdose continues to affect people from every walk of life. Behind every statistic is a person – someone once loved and valued. And behind every loss is a ripple felt by families, friends, and communities everywhere.
