Using Microsoft Teams

Once you join the Social Justice Studies Club team on Teams, you can visit our our Microsoft Teams Practice channel and practice. This is a safe place where you can interact with other club members while figuring out how to get comfortable using Teams.

During the Summer 2022 semester, our club had a Microsoft Teams training session with Instructional and Information Technology Services (IITS). This session was helpful in getting our club familiar with the platform and learning features that we could use to connect together. A recording of this session is available on our club's Microsoft Teams channel, which you can access once you have joined the Social Justice Studies Club team on Teams.

The Microsoft Teams Guide from IITS at CSUSM is a helpful resource to learn about Microsoft Teams, access the program, and connect with the IITS support team for individualized assistance.

We want everyone in our community to be successful and have the same access to engagement! The IITS team offers focused and knowledgeable student support with multiple contact options through the Microsoft Teams Guide.

You are welcome to connect with our club leaders for support as well and we can figure out how to get you set up, whether it is practicing together, connecting with an expert, or giving feedback and encouragement! Sometimes it is hard to know how to ask for help. Here is an example template that might make it easier!

• Subject Line: Microsoft Teams help request

• Email message: Hello, I want to participate in the Social Justice Studies Club on Microsoft Teams, but I would like support. Can you meet with me to help me figure it out? Thanks!

This example is quick and to the point. You can include what you are confused about, how you would like help, when you are available, or just keep it simple and we will figure it out together!
