Since 1907 when Euxton Villa FC played in the West Lancashire League, we continually looked for a permanent 'home' and in 1986 were extremely grateful to Jim Fowler and family when we purchased some of his land on Runshaw Hall Lane, Euxton. In 2002 we became an FA Community Club and proud to be one of the first 100 clubs in the country to attain this status. By 2009 our new club-house was officially opened by Sir Lindsay Hoyle MP after years of fund raising and a grant from the Football Foundation. In 2012, we were awarded Chorley club of the year, followed by the Lancashire FA charter standard development club of the year and NW region charter standard development club of the year in 2013. Also in this year the club made history with the launch of its first two girls teams playing in the West Lancashire Girls Football League. In 2019 Euxton Villa FC were awarded tier 2 status and were delighted to be selected for the FA Community Pilot Scheme and become one of 150 clubs nationwide with this status . Last year the new FA Accreditation scheme was launched and the club achieved 3 stars, the highest award. In the same year Euxton Villa were selected to participate in FA Club Programme which is an exciting initiative to bring investment to the club.
Our work to grow the club doesn't finish there. As the club and community rebound from the COVID-19 setbacks and disruption we want to to expand our range of activities to cater to our player and community needs.
WHAT WE AIM TO DO NEXT
With our ambitious mission and vision, we have an opportunity to develop our current facilities to include a stadium incorporating an Artificial Grass Pitch with the support of the Football Association and Football Foundation. This is an exciting new project, an opportunity to transform and develop our current site with state of the art facilities, to support our female and male player pathway and provide a range of activities for local residents. Initially this will include floodlights, an artificial grass pitch with surroundings befitting a prestigious football stadium in 21st century. Once completed we are planning a state of the art building extension , incorporating education and hospitality facilities in the pavilion and surrounding areas. We as a community have an outstanding opportunity to build a sustainable community stadium with these developments. The below imagery presents a snapshot of this vision.
A Typical Floorplan
As part of Euxton Villa being an investment ready club the Football Association and Football Foundation have provided us with a pathway to bid for financial support in the form of a substantial grant to towards the cost of the initial development work which may exceed £1 million . This money will provide the whole Euxton Villa family and local community with the opportunity to act on our clubs vision and key goals. However, in order to be successful in any bid for this grant, we as a football club and community must come together to raise at least £150,000. In other words, our fundraising efforts will be significantly multiplied by this grant which will provide us with a state of the art facility, literally a chance in a lifetime, otherwise unattainable without the assistance of the Football Association and Football Foundation.
