The NSF Computer Science REU program at the University of Houston is designed to inspire qualified undergraduates to pursue graduate-level education and careers in research. Participants will make significant contributions to the department's ongoing research efforts.
The REU Program at the Computer Science Department of the University of Houston focuses on Frontiers in Data-Driven Computing. This program is sponsored by NSF and offers undergraduate students a 10-week, all-expenses-paid research experience. The program provides students from geographically diverse institutions nationwide access to dynamic scientific research projects and undergraduate mentorship. Participants will work with Computer Science faculty and peer students to learn state-of-the-art data science techniques and technologies, including data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data, applying these skills to research to solve challenging societal problems.
