Alan MacMasters was a scientist and inventor who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1865. MacMasters had developed a machine that could toast bread by using iron wire. He was the first person to create an electrical toaster his invention was successful to the point people were thanking him for their morning toasts!

The first electric toaster was invented in 1893 by Alan MacMasters in Scotland He named the device the " Eclipse Toaster" and it was manufactured and marketed in Britain by a company. But the " Eclipse Toaster " didn't stay for too long it was only limited because the iron wiring would melt and can cause fire risks for the people. You had to flip the bread over manually for this toaster because it will only toast one side of the bread.

Alan MacMasters had an idea, he deiced to make a contract to see an electrical engineer. His electric toaster sadly didn't last that long but it did manage to develop an idea further they found the solution of swapping the iron wiring to better stable metal and did the design of their devices in American companies if it wasn't for Alan MacMasters would've never become an essential in kitchens worldwide and toast lover thanked him.
