About the Conference
The objective of the National Conference on Mathematics and its Applications-II (NCMA-II, 2023) is to bring together researchers and scientists in the field of Mathematical Sciences to interact and exchange their new ideas in different areas of Mathematics and to discuss various applications of Mathematics in the modern world. The conference will be an ideal platform for researchers and academicians from different parts of the country to share their research ideas and present their recent results towards the development and applications of Mathematics.
About the institution
Cotton University is a premier institute of higher learning in Assam. Formerly known as Cotton College, the oldest institute of higher education in North East India was established in 1901. It became an affiliated college of Gauhati University in 1948. In 2011, the Cotton College State University was established vide an Act of the Government of Assam, with the college as a constituent college. Cotton University was established in 2017 by the provisions of an Act enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly to merge Cotton College State University and Cotton College. The University has rich Alumni across the Globe.
About the department
The Department of Mathematics is one of the oldest academic departments of Cotton University (Erstwhile Cotton College). It was established in 1901, with the inception of the college, and has been providing quality mathematics education ever since. The department offers a wide range of courses, from undergraduate to doctoral level, and has produced thousands of graduates who have gone on tomake significant contributions to society. The department also has a well-equipped library, computer laboratory, and research facilities, which enable the students and faculty members to pursue their research interests. The department regularly organizes national-level workshops, seminars, and conferences. These events provide a platform forthe students and faculty members to interact with leading mathematicians from all over the country.
