Homework! Oh, Homework!
I hate you! You stink!
I wish I could wash you away in the sink,
if only a bomb
would explode you to bits.
Homework! Oh, homework!
You're giving me fits.
I'd rather take baths
with a man-eating shark,
or wrestle a lion
eat spinach and liver,
pet ten porcupines,
than tackle the homework,
my teacher assigns.
Homework! Oh, homework!
you're last on my list,
I simple can't see
why you even exist,
if you just disappeared
it would tickle me pink.
Homework! Oh, homework!
I hate you! You stink!

In the dark of the night
or noon's sunlight
I work and train my dogs.
Somedays it's a breeze
as we run with ease
crossing rivers, streams, and logs.
I'm often seen
running with my team
yelling Gee, Haw, or Hike.
It's odd to some
this need to run
but it's the life I like.
Someday, I pray to pack my sleigh
and drive north from my home.
To see the fun
they call the Great One
the race from Anchorage to Nome.
By Cecil Francis Alexander
All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.
The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky.
He gave us eyes to see them,
And lips that we might tell,
How great is God Almighty,
Who has made all things well!
