Building Capacity in State Science Education (BCSSE)

Leveraging Freely Available Open Education Resources

2022 Conference

June 29 to July 1, 2022

Leveraging Freely Available Open Education Resources

This two-day conference is designed to help state science leaders leverage free, high-quality instructional materials and related resources to advance science education. Attendees will experience contemporary science instruction, hear from experts in the field, share learning sessions with teams across multiple states, and collaborate within state teams to reflect and strategize on the use of high-quality Open Education Resources (OER) to improve science learning.

On behalf of the Council of State Science Supervisors (CSSS), welcome to the Building Capacity for State Science Education (BCSSE) convening. This event brings together state science supervisors, their partners, and national experts to learn together, learn from each other, and ultimately to inspire co-designed collaborative efforts that drive focused, coordinated action to improve science education in our states. We are grateful that you are able to be with us for the next day and a half. Welcome to Minneapolis!
