Bonnie Eddy Educational Supply & Book Grant- Seniors interested in the teaching profession are eligible for this scholarship. (Dec. 1)
United Way Secor Scholarship-This scholarship is for any senior that is living in Hancock County who has a 3.5 GPA or higher and plans to attend an accredited institution of higher learning, full time, in the next academic year. Students must also exhibit a strong and diverse emphasis on community service, leadership and character. ( Jan. 15)
Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce Agri-Business Scholarship-A graduating senior that will pursue careers in agriculture or ag-adjacent industries. Agriculture fields of study include diesel mechanic, food science, ag business, etc.. Students need to have 2 letters of recommendations which can be completed here. (January 26th)
Hancock County Pheasants Forever Wildlife Scholarship- Seniors that attend a Hancock County school with a 3.5 GPA or higher. Preference will be given to students planning on going into conservation related fields. (Feb. 1st)
Community Foundations Scholarship-The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation Universal Scholarship Application opens on Wednesday, December 6th at 12:00pm (NOON). There are over 140 scholarship funds in the Universal Application, and last year the Foundation awarded 260+ scholarships totaling over $430,000. We are set to meet or exceed that number in 2024! Student applications will be due on Wednesday, February 7th at 12:00pm (NOON).
Students can access the Foundation’s scholarship site and set up a Username and Password using the following link: https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=findlayhancockscholarship. The application will show in the “Apply” area of the site on 12-6-23 at 12:00pm (NOON). (Feb. 7th)
Hancock-Wood Electric Cooperative Scholarship- If your parent or legal guardian has electric service with Hancock-Wood please view the scholarship opportunities at https://hwe.coop/scholarship-program (Feb. 9)
Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center Scholarship- Students that are planning to continue their education in the medical field. (Feb. 23)
Ohio Natural Gas Scholarship- If you have career goals in the natural gas and oil industry, plan to further your education and have a 2.5 or higher GPA, please see the application attached (March 1)
Zonta Club Scholarship- Young women of Hancock County that plan to further their education are invited to apply. (March 1)
Masons of Ohio Scholarship-Graduating seniors are encouraged to apply. FAFSA Student Aid Index has been waived for this application and is not needed to apply. Please click here for general information for the scholarship (March 1).

Benton Ridge Telephone Company Scholarship- Does your family receive services from the Benton Ridge Company or Watch Communications? Do you have a 3.0 or higher GPA and plan to further your education? If yes, please review the following scholarship. (March 7)
BallCorp Megawatt Scholarship- If you are planning to pursue in STEM-focused studies (science, engineering, technology or math) at an accredited university you are eligible to apply. (March 15)

Findlay Service League-A graduating senior that resides and attends school in Hancock County. The Scholarship Committee will be considering community service, applicant's essay and letters of recommendation. 3.0 or higher GPA is required. (March 16)
Black Swamp Bucks Unlimited- Seniors that will continue their education pursuing a degree after graduation. Students must have a current hunting license, 2.5 GPA or higher and show leadership in their community and school. Please see application for further requirements. (March 22)
Ohio Gas Association Scholarship- If you are planning to have a career in the natural gas or related energy field, plan to further your education, and have a 3.0 GPA or higher are encouraged to apply. (March 29)
Marie D. Berry Scholarship- A Hancock County graduating senior who demonstrates hard work, good citizenship, dependability and character who will need financial assistance for furthering their education. (March 29)
Aukerman Family Foundation Scholarship-A '24 graduate that has participated in 2 or more sports and has earned at least 4 varsity letters. Student must also have a minimum GPA of 3.25, completed at least 10 community service hrs. Please view the scholarship for other requirements. (March 29)
Old Fort Banking Company Scholarship- Seniors that will be attending Heidelberg University, Tiffin University, or the University of Findlay with a 3.0 GPA or higher are encouraged to apply. (March 31)
Kiwanis Scholarship-Any graduating senior that plans to further their education in a 2 or 4 year degree program or technical certificate that lives in Hancock county are eligible to apply. Please visit https://findlaykiwanis.org/Page/13809. for more information. (March 31)
Hancock County Firefighters Association- All Hancock County High School seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher that plans to further their education in the Field of Fires Sciences, Emergency Medical Care or Law Enforcement are encouraged to apply. Cory-Rawson Staff Scholarship- A Cory-Rawson graduating senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher, who plans to further their education after graduation. (April 1)
Ohio State White Shrine Scholarship- A graduating senior that plans to attend college, university or trade school in OH next school year. (April 1)
Bluffton Lions Club Scholarship- A Cory-Rawson graduating senior that will have post-secondary educational expenses. (April 11)
Impact Credit Union-Are you or a parent a member of the Impact Credit Union? Please apply for the impact credit union scholarship. (April 12)
Robert L. Rhoad Scholarship-A graduating senior that resides in Hancock County that will be continuing their education next year. (April 15)
NW Ohio APWA Scholarships- Scholarships available for students furthering their education in engineering, fleet maintenance or environmental impact, water quality, small engine or automotive and lawn maintenance. (April 26)
Oran L. Goodman Scholarship- Students that reside in Hancock County and plan to further their education are eligible to apply. Please complete the application single sided, not back to back. (April 30)
Hancock County AG Society Scholarship- The Old Mill Stream Foundation is offering two $2,000 scholarships for individuals who continue their education pursuits in agriculture related course study or trade school apprenticeships. These scholarships are available to high school students, home-school students, returning college and trade school students. (May 1)
Flag City Balloon Fest Scholarship-This scholarship is made possible by Ohio Logistics and is available for graduating seniors who have a 3.25 GPA or higher who either live or go to school in Hancock County. The information regarding essay and service hours is in the scholarship link. (May 29)
Swartz We Care Scholarship- This scholarship is for HS seniors that plan to attend college and pursue a career that will give back to our community. (June 10)
Christian Entrepreneur Scholarship- A '24 graduating senior that is attending a Christian college and plans to start a business or marketplace ministry to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. (July 23)

2024 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship-Application due on November 13th
Opportunities
College Credit Plus & Financial Assistance Night-
Cory-Rawson will be hosting the annual College Credit Plus Evening on January 17th in the Elementary Cafeteria at 5:30pm. This is for any interested or participating 7th through 12th graders for the 24-25 school year.
On the same night, we invite our seniors and their parents/guardians to attend our Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) night. FAFSA night will be located in the Board Room at 6pm.
Millstream Open House-Millstream Career Center invites all Sophomores and their families to their career night. This event will take place on January 11th from 6-7pm. This is a great opportunity for sophomores to visit Millstream one more time and to ask questions before the application is due on January 19th.
Free ACT Review Sessions at Liberty-Benton High School-If you are preparing to take the ACT this Spring you are encouraged to attend the test preparation sessions on Wednesday, January 31 and Wednesday, February 7 at Liberty-Benton. Each night there will
be sessions from 7:00-8:10 and 8:20-9:30 pm. English, Reading, Mathematics, and Science will be presented during each session.
You will choose two subjects to review on the first night and can then attend the remaining two subjects on the second night. You choose which subject sessions to attend each night.
There is no charge for students to attend this program.
You will enter the building through the main high school entrance. You need to bring a pen or pencil, notebook paper.
Buckeye Boys and Girls State- Juniors.....do you have an interest in Unites States History, Government, Civics, Debate and Public Speaking? Are you interested in a conference to develop these skills and learn more about good citizenship and leadership skills. Please talk with Mrs. Barnhart for more information and how to apply. Applications are due by January 30th.

Elks Student of the Month-Seniors, If you have a strong involvement in our community, high academic achievement, and a variety of school activities please fill out the Elks Student of the Month Application Form, found here. Your application will be submitted to be reviewed by the Elks Selection Committee for a chance to be selected to attend an award ceremony celebrating your accomplishments. Please return the form to Mrs. Barnhart by Tuesday Oct. 10th.

Blood Drive Volunteer (age 16+)- Ensure that blood donors have a pleasant and fulfilling experience. Volunteers must commit to 1-2 shifts (4-6 hrs.) a month. Click here to learn more.

Who
School counselors are educators with a masters degree in school counseling who provide related services by addressing student’s social, emotional and academic/career development needs. School counselors are dedicated to student success in school and helping students grow to become productive citizens.
Why
Our students today need guidance in their current and future school curriculum and support during their young adult years. School counselors collaborate with teachers, administrators, and staff to help students be successful now and in the future.
Millstream Career Center
Sophomores attend a Millstream presentation in November/December to learn about specific programs and the application process. College Credit Plus Program
CC+ was created to allow eligible students (grades 7-12) to take college classes while in high school. Students earn college credit and high school graduation credit through college coursework. The purpose of the program is to promote rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wider variety of options to high school students. Students/parents interested in CC+ must declare to the district their intent to participate by APRIL 1 in order to participate during the following year. I will host a CC+ meeting in mid-winter to cover options, requirements, and details. The date/time of the meeting is publicized on the CRHS main website, the Counselor Corner bulletin board, and during morning announcements.
Credit Requirements for Graduation:
3 credits of Science (must include Physical Sci., Biology, and one adv. lab-based sci.)
4 credits of Math (must include Algebra 2)
3 credits of Social Studies (World Studies, American History, and US Government)
4 credits of English
0.5 credits of Health
0.5 credits of PE (2 classes)
0.5 credits of Economics & Finance
1 credit of Fine Arts (Millstream students are exempt if they complete their program)
5.5 credits of Electives
***The class of 2026 and beyond will need 0.5 credits in financial literacy.
