Open House and Conferences

One reason Crescent Valley students do so well academically is that they have parents who care about education. Over the past four decades, I have consistently told people that parent support is the biggest asset I have as a CV teacher. I genuinely appreciate your efforts to help your students meet high standards of academic excellence.

I also realize that many of you come to Open House and conferences out of a sense of obligation, an obligation that can be difficult to fulfill given your busy schedules. Coming to those events can take time that may not be repaid with much new information.

Of course, you are more than welcome to come to those events. And if you have particular concerns about your student or specific information I should know (e.g., your student is adjusting to a new medication and you want to know if he has been drowsy in class), it could be important for us to talk directly.

But if you are busy, this web page will give you most of the information I present at Open House and parent conferences. Please feel free to read it and stay home that evening with a clear conscience.

And, as always, do contact me if you have a specific concern or question.
