Core Focus Curriculum

About:

• We will be using the curriculum "Core Focus on Math."

• "The focus of the program lies in the critical areas of the CCSS as well as strategies to build students strengths in the Standards for Mathematical Practice."

• This curriculum will predominantly be accessed online for students, however there will be options for students to use hard copies of the textbook in class.

Guidelines for Accessing the Curriculum Online:

1.) Go to the website corefocusonmath.com or click here.

2.) Click the green button in the top right corner.

3.) Use the username: corvallis & password: corvallismath

4.) Scroll down to either: Stage 2 (Pre-Algebra) or Stage 3 (Foundations) and click on the appropriate textbook.

5.) After that, click on the appropriate Block (unit) to see the resources for each lesson.

• • each lesson offers the student text file where most of the homework assignments will be. In addition, there are slideshows, videos, and IXL links that correlate to the specific lesson.

  • TO DOWNLOAD THE STUDENT TEXT TO iBOOKS ON STUDENT iPADS: (in Safari) Click on the student text file then click on the button to the right of the URL. It will give you an option to "Copy to iBooks." Once it opens, you will then not need Wifi to access the document in iBooks.
