This unit's main focus will be on the special relationships that exist inside all triangles. We will be examining midsegments, perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, medians, and altitudes with specific focus on their characteristics within the major triangle types: acute, obtuse, right, isosceles, and regular.

We will be examining midsegments, perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors, medians, and altitudes with specific focus on their characteristics within the major triangle types: acute, obtuse, right, isosceles, and regular.
Classes will take the form of seminars and will utilize various forms of media to help students gain insight to these fascinating relationships. Each day will culminate in a short exit quiz that will take the place of a unit assessment. Students who are not present for one or both seminars should take some time during Winter Break and prepare themselves for an alternate assessment upon the New Year's resumption of class.
