Open House 2022-2023

Dear Team 1 Parents,

Many of you have been asking about how your child is doing in junior high. We are so pleased to be working with such a great group of students! We are looking forward to talking with you at our Open House on Thursday, October 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. From 6:30-7, we will meet in the auditorium for an address from Mr. Cafararo. Then you have the opportunity to follow your child’s schedule and meet your child’s teachers. Another piece of information that may be helpful is that we have a Team 1 website! Please look at this website before coming to Open House. If you go to www.cortlandschools.org and click on schools, then junior high, and then Team 1 (in the left column)--you will see our website. It has a home page with our emails, an extracurricular page with a list of our clubs and sports, and junior high news. Lastly, if you are wondering about how to check SchoolTool, parents can go to the same main page www.cortlandschools.org and go to ‘quick links’ and then ‘parent portal’. There will be a ‘parent portal how to guide’ to assist you in signing up. Once you are signed up, you can click on your child’s ‘assignments’ tab and then click by subject to see what assignments have been completed and what their current grade is. The five-week mark is October 7th, so progress reports will be coming in the mail on October 14th.
