*NEW* General Maintenance Course Donation Information

The Technology Department has added a new high school elective for students to take starting September 2023! The General Maintenance course will cover topics that any homeowner or renter should know about. Skills will be taught in a hands-on setting, allowing students to know how to change out outlets and light switches, fix a clogged drain, install a new faucet, and maintain small machinery such as lawnmowers, weed eaters, and more. We will also plan to cover vehicle and bicycle maintenance. All students are encouraged to take this course, no matter their future career plans.

To give the best hands-on experience possible, the Technology Department is looking for donations of some items to supplement our limited budget. If you have gently-used or new items listed below, feel free to drop them off to us at a scheduled time. Email Cameron Aldrich at caldrich@cortlandschools.org or Melissa Norman at mnorman@cortlandschools.org to coordinate a drop-off date and time. Please understand that depending on the condition of the item or the make/model, we may not be able to accept all donations. Thank you in advance for supporting our department as we teach Cortland High students lifelong skills.
