Mollie Gershikov

President

My name is Mollie Gershikov. This is my 4 year serving on Cortina Elementary PTO and my second as Executive Secretary. I was a parent volunteer for several years prior. I am a mother to 5 ranging in age from 25 to 10. My husband and I have enjoyed volunteering on the PTO to support our amazing teachers and enrich the lives of the students. We love our community, our family! 

Aubrie Bechdel

Vice President

Hi! My name is Aubrie! My husband Mike and I have 2 children a daughter Taylor who is 7 years old and a 1st grader and a son Bruin who is 3 and can’t wait to be a Cortina Tiger in a couple years! We have lived in Cortina for 7 years and love it here! I got my degree in elementary education and have now been a flight attendant for 20 years. This is my first year on the executive board serving as Vice President. I’m so excited to get involved, hopefully meet new parents and support our amazing Tiger community while helping to enrich our kids learning experience! 

Sasha Lopez

Treasurer

My name is Sasha Lopez and this is my family's second year at Cortina.  My son, Michael, is in 1st grade. I have been a resident of Queen Creek since 2004, when I moved here from New York. Prior to joining the Cortina PTO, I have volunteered for several realtor and church groups.  When I am not volunteering at Cortina, I am an Associate Broker for a local real estate company as well as a proud supporter of public schools.  Michael and I are very excited to continue being part of the Cortina family!  

Hannah Kowitz

Executive Secretary

My name is Hannah Kowitz and I have a 2nd grade daughter at Cortina and a 4.5 year old boy! I was a 1st grade teacher for years, one year being a teacher at Cortina (the best school!), and many years in other districts. I now run a preschool which I absolutely love! I love being on the PTO to help positively impact the school with the amazing parents, staff, and students at Cortina as a member of PTO! It takes a village and my job is to get as many parents involved as the more hands and help, the more impact! Here’s to an incredible year!
