Here are concepts we are working on this week:

Grade 4—rounding numbers and money to a given place or the greatest place, developing a solid understanding of properties of addition and subtraction, subtraction w/ zeros in the minuend, estimating and adding and subtracting up to 5-digit #s.

Grade 5—algebraic expressions, finding the value of expressions using order of operations, introduce function tables

Grade 6—evaluate algebraic expressions, write and solve equations, review of number properties and geometric sequences and to solve problems using mental math

Grade 7—writing algebraic equations and translating equations from verbal sentences, problem solving strategy of working backward, addition and subtraction property of equality.

Grade 8—set theory, evaluating and simplifying expressions, identifying hypothesis and conclusion statements, graphing relations and functions.
