What's Happening

Religion- We will review Chapter 3 -how God speaks to us through the Church.  We will attend the Student Council prayer service,  We will review Unit 1.  We will meet with our prayer partners. We will have our first Friendzy lesson.  Our prayer for September is the Prayer to Saint Carlo Acutis. Students will need to have it memorized by Tuesday, September 30. 

Science- We will review Topic 7: Lessons 1 & 2- Internal & External Structures/Functions of Plants and have a test on Tuesday.  Students have a green study guide in their Science pocket.  In addition, a Kahoot review game will be assigned Monday night.  We will then begin discussing the structure and function of animal parts.

Math- We will practice multi-digit addition using place value with and without regrouping.

ELA-  We will read a folktale titled Kitoto the Mighty. Our spelling pattern for Lesson 3 is short i vs. long i.  Our grammar skill focuses on writing and properly punctuating quotations.  Our reading skills will focus on identifying literary elements and discerning the theme.

Social Studies- Students will review geography of Pennsylvania as discussed thus far. Students will work on mammal research in preparation for their brochure project that will be published in computer class. There will be a TEST Friday on Geography concepts.  A study guide will come home this week.
