What's Happening

Religion- We will celebrate our back-to-school liturgy on Tuesday.  We will learn about Pier Giorgio Frassati as we prepare for the canonization of he and Carlo Acutis this Sunday, September 7!  Be sure to ask your child about these inspirational new young saints!  Our prayer for September is the Prayer to Carlo Acutis.  (see below)

Science- We do not have our Science books yet. Hopefully, they arrive this week.  We will use this block of time to complete our beginning of the year benchmark testing.

Math- We will begin Chapter 2 and discuss place value to the millions, expanded form, and standard form.

ELA- We will review the summer reading book George Washington's Spies.  Students will take turns presenting their projects.

Social Studies- We will explore the components of our new text books.  We will identify the information that can be referenced in the Table of Contents, Index, and Glossary of a book.
