Reading- Our lesson this week is "Deserts" Module 7 Lesson 2. Phonics long e words. We will have our Reading and Spelling tests on Friday.
Spelling- Your child will be getting new copybooks. They will be printing smaller. Please have your child write the date at the top of the page with the lines. Please check that your child's homework is spelled correctly, complete and neat.
The students will need to write sentences with their spelling words. Each spelling word should have one sentence. Students can not have more than one spelling word in a sentence. They may use only one "I" sentence. All sentences must start with an upper case letter and end with proper punctuation. Your child can use more lines to complete a sentence or use another page to complete their work.
There is a study sheet of words in our "S" copybook. The words are both High Frequency and Spelling Words. The reader will come home on Tuesday and Thursday for you to read with your child.
Just an FYI, our classroom may feel chilly to some students. They may bring in their school sweater, or sweatshirt on Gym days, and wear them in the classroom.
Please remember to read the weekly Wednesday Envelope online which contains updates and reminders. If you are not receiving them in your emails, please contact Mrs. Mastrogiovanni in the school office.
